Family of seven!!

Tegan is here!! Tegan was born July 7, 2007. What a lucky boy he is! It was a very rough labour and delivery, and a scary time as Tegan had to be hospitalized right away, but all turned out in the end, and he is very healthy. He was 2 weeks early, and weighed 9lbs 3oz. Poor mommy!

He is beautiful, and all the kids love him. We are enjoying our new extended family. Since he was born on Brennen's birthday, we gave him Brennen's name for his middle name. So far he has bright blue eyes, we'll see if that changes. Both my boys have brown eyes, so it would be interesting to see one with blue eyes.

We are headed to Cambridge/Kitchener in a week and a half. It will be nice to see some of our friends again, we really miss it there.

Other than that, we don't have much else planned this summer. We are just getting used to our enlarged family, and enjoying our home.

My new toy

This past Mothers Day was certainly a great one!! Derek surprised me and bought me a Digital Canon Rebel XT. I was so excited! And I am having a ton of fun with it. I can't believe the quality of pictures. So far I have bought one additional lens to go with it, but I still need a good zoom lens. This picture is of Chelsea while I was playing around last night.

Today is the first day of a 3 day long weekend, and Derek has it off! Owning his own business has it's privileges! He closed the dealership for the weekend. He may regret it though - he will spend the weekend with my dad working on building the kids a big wooden play structure that we bought them. It is being delivered this morning. I will have fun taking pics of them putting that together! LOL

2 1/2 months to go!

Then baby Tegan will be here! I am so looking forward to the end of this pregnancy! It certainly doesn't get any easier each time around.

The rest of the kids are doing well. Caiden is 16 mths now, and is starting to talk. He says a variety of different words: Car, Eggos, hello, bye bye, shoe, mommy, daddy, tickle tickle, more, etc. He is getting so big!

Chelsea is as cute as ever, but still pretty demanding. She certainly keeps me on my toes.

Derek has decided to go off on his own venture, he is now part owner of a car lot, and a training company. I am so glad he is now his own boss!

Cassaundra and Brennen are doing well in school. They have adjusted well.

ScrapCentral is busier than ever! All of my 'spare' time goes there these days!

It's about time

I can't believe it has been so long since I updated this! I really need to make it more of a priority. Just have so much going on right now. ScrapCentral pretty much takes all of my computer time these days. A lot of things happening, including two big announcements! I should be posting those on the blog later today.

Cassaundra has her big birthday party on the weekend. She is now 11 years old. Quite the party too! Boy those girls were hyper! Good grief, we couldn't leave them alone for even a minute! But she had a good time, and that is all that matters. We bought her a 5 megapixel digital camera, and she was SO excited! I knew she would be.

I am 5 months along now, and this baby is so active. I am starting to lose a lot of my energy though, as I am very large again! I hope this next 4 months isn't too hard.

Spring is here, and the mild temps are just starting to arrive. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 20!

Time is flying by

I can't keep up with the days sometimes. So busy with ScrapCentral that there does not seem to be enough hours in the day. Tomorrow we launch, I am so excited!! I hope everyone likes the site as much as I do. I have big plans for it.

A little milestone yesterday. Last night, while sitting with Derek I felt the baby move. That was the first time I felt the baby. Very cool. Although as a mom of 4 children already, I know that it will only be cool for a bit, until it gets to be not so cool as this baby grows and takes more room. I pray this is not another huge baby! LOL

Cassaundra goes to see the surgeon next week, the lump is back in her shoulder. The Dr. seems to think she will need surgery again, we will see.

I go to register Chelsea at school in 2 weeks. I can't believe that my little girl will be starting school next year. It seems too soon. I think she will love it though.

Today

The Rideau Canal opens today! Yay! It finally got cold enough for it to open. I am really looking forward to taking the kids skating on it. I grew up skating on the canal, but I moved away when my kids were so little that they have never had a chance to skate on it. This year will be their first. So I am going to get grandpa to watch the two little ones, while Derek and I take Cassaundra and Brennen skating. It will be fun to experience Winterlude.

We have snow, but not nearly as much as we usually have this time of year. That's ok with me. There is enough for the kids to enjoy still. They love to play outside in a fort with the neighbours kids. They are adjusting really well to living here. Better than me!

But between the kids and ScrapCentral, I am keeping busy. There is a ton I miss about Cambridge, but I am sure eventually I can replace it. I get so sentimental at times, maybe it's just these pregnancy hormones.

ScrapCentral launches next weekend! I can't wait, I have so many plans for it. I want to make this the best site! Melissa has done a great job with it too. It has been a lot of work getting it all done, but the end is in site.

So if you have read this far, you may as well head over to ScrapCentral's blog to check out what is going on next! www.scrapcentral.blogspot.com

It's winter now

We finally got some snow, and it now looks more like winter. It was only about 10cm, but enough for the kids to play in it.

I have been super busy, ScrapCentral is keeping me hopping! Everything is all set, the website is almost done, and the launch is in only 2 1/1 weeks!!

Yesterday I had a midwife's appt, and got to hear the heartbeat. That always makes it feel so real. Can't wait for the 20 week ultrasound though! I really hope we can find out what we are having. I am feeling good. Other than a growing belly, I don't feel too pregnant. Except the tiredness. But that is a combination of being with busy kids all day, and staying up too late working!

Check out my other blog!!

ScrapCentral is just about to launch, and in the meantime I have lots of fun things planned!! Check out my blog at www.scrapcentral.blogspot.com for more details!
You can also check out www.scrapcentral.ca for a sneak peek!

It's snowing!!

I just looked outside, and I see snow!! Nothing on the ground yet, but it is blowing all over, so maybe we will actually get to see some cover the grass. My kids will be happy. Cassaundra has a ski trip coming up that they would have had to cancel if the weather didn't turn around soon. So maybe I will have a new backyard pic to post soon!

Just got off the phone with Jillian. Boy can we talk! I don't think it is ever under an hour. I miss our get togethers though. Now we can commiserate being pregnant together. And Jillian, I really don't need any more stamps! But as long as you are placing an order...

Meatballs are in the crockpot for dinner tonight. I love a crockpot. Isn't nice to be able to throw a bunch of food in, and then you do nothing, and then it is cooked? I am going to have to find some more crockpot recipes.

Well I have to help some little girl finish her game. That is the great thing about a laptop, it can follow me where ever I go!

The view of my backyard - where's the snow??

Good morning

Thursday morning, not as cold as it was yesterday. But I can't complain, the weather has been great this winter. We still don't have any snow. Weird. I hope it gets cold enough to at least take the kids skating on the canal. Winterlude starts in 3 weeks, so there is still time.

I don't have as much to do for ScrapCentral today. The website is on hold for a bit, while Melissa is away on holidays. We posted a sneak peek launch page yesterday, I can show everyone that for now. I have a lot of plans for the contests and giveaways though, so I will work on finalizing those.

Chelsea and I are working on learning how to write her name, that is one thing we will be doing today. Caiden is busier than ever, especially now that he is walking. He is so cute when he walks, he goes slow, but has the biggest grin on his face as if to say 'look at me!'.

Speaking of Caiden, he is wanting attention right now, off to finish morning breakfast routine.

Work, work, work

That is all I seem to be doing these days. But it is worth it! ScrapCentral is almost ready to launch. The official date is Feb.2-4. I have been staying up too late every night working on it, and now the end is near. Well actually, I guess it is just the beginning!

But not everything is work. Lots have been going on here at home. Raising 4 kids is another full time job, but a great one! Caiden is walking now. He took his first steps the day after his 1st birthday, Dec.26. Chelsea is as busy as ever, keeps me hopping that girl does! What a bundle of attitude. Cassaundra and Brennen are doing well at school. I am really happy with the way things turned out with their new school. They are much happier than they were last year.

Derek is busy at work, as usual. He isn't home much, but I am used to that.

We are having a really odd winter. It is Jan. 10 and we don't have any snow at all! Nothing! Very odd. But I am not complaining, makes for a lot shorter winter when it is like this. They are getting blizzard like weather out west though, makes me realize it isn't far behind.

It's about time.

So I guess it is about time I created a blog. Everyone is doing it, and I have been putting it off. Well actually I did create one about a year ago, but kept forgetting to post in it. So here I am again. I figured the title was fitting. Every now and then, when someone asks what I do in my spare time, I just laugh. Spare time? What's that? Is it the time in between managing my four kids, when I am working on my business? Or is it between the time I put the four kids to bed, before I start working, and do my house cleaning? Maybe it is between the hours of midnight and 4am when I am sleeping (sort of).

Whatever it is, I am pretty sure it isn't spent doing nothing. So I figured I could record what I do during my *spare* time right here, on my blog.
